How does the return cost calculator work
As researchers, we developed the return cost calculator based on rigorous models. As an online retailer, you need to provide information about your shipping and return policy. The return cost calculator computes the economic impact of each policy. The return cost calculator provides a lot of flexibility: you are free to compute the impact of all possible scenarios that are aligned with the new EU-Directive. Try out different scenarios and observe the change in your personal results.
The return cost calculator determines the financial consequences that arise from various shipping and return policies. The calculator computes the profit per order after considering return costs, for each chosen scenario. Furthermore, the return cost calculator shows you the necessary or maximum acceptable changes in the number of orders that would lead to the same profit after return cost per order as in your current scenario.
